Mike Jones, CAI, GPPA

An Auctioneer since 1978, Mr. Jones is the 1998 International Auctioneer Champion and the 1995 Texas State Champion Auctioneer. A 2005 Texas Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame Inductee; he served as the 2004-05 President of the National Auctioneers Association and is a Lifetime Member. A graduate of CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute), Indiana University and Missouri Auction School, he holds the GPPA (Graduate Personal Property Appraiser) designation. Jones attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas and Cooke County College.

He is President of United Country Auction Services based in Kansas City, Missouri and President of the Texas Auction Academy, Dallas, Texas. For 28 years, Mr. Jones owned and operated Mike Jones Auction Group, Inc. He is past Chairman and Board Member of the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation Auctioneers Education Advisory Board.

Jones has been active in Washington, D.C. working on behalf of the auction industry, and currently serves on the Government Relations Committee for the National Auctioneers Association. The winner of numerous NAA & TAA Advertising and Photography Awards, he is a widely published author within the industry. Mike has conducted educational seminars in over 25 states and in 2003 was the keynote speaker at the South African Institute of Auctioneers convention in Golden Gate Highlands National Park, South Africa.

Jones specializes in real estate, industrial equipment and business liquidations, having conducted auctions from New York to California. In 1996, he conducted the largest auction in General Services Administration history deriving $17.7 million for the United States government. Mr. Jones is regarded as one of the country’s most respected fund-raising auctioneers. He is considered to be an expert in the field of contracting auctions, marketing and auction sale management.

Cheri Boots-Sutton

St. Joseph, Missouri

An Auctioneer since 1989, Ms. Cheri Boots-Sutton has accomplished a great deal while becoming one of the best auctioneers in the nation. The 1999 International Auctioneer Champion – Women’s Division is also the 2001 Canadian Woman’s Champion Auctioneer. She consistently places in the top spots of the World Auto Auction Championships. The owner of her own auction service and a real estate sales person, Ms. Boots-Sutton specializes in auto auctions and is one of the nation’s most respected professional auto auctioneers working in Dallas and Chicago. She is involved with numerous charitable groups and conducts many fund-raising auctions throughout the year. A single mother of 4 children, she loves and lives for auctioneering. A graduate of Missouri Auction School, Ms. Boots-Sutton is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Missouri Auctioneers Association and the Illinois Auctioneers Association. Ms. Boots-Sutton is known for her superior bid calling ability and her incredible rise from working in the construction industry to becoming one of the most successful female auctioneers in the country.

Doak Lambert

Coppell, Texas

Mr. Lambert is a purebred livestock auctioneer and owner of Lambert Auction Co., Inc. He has been a full time auctioneer since 1988 and conducts purebred cattle and horse auctions throughout the United States. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. While at A&M, he was a member of the Livestock and Meats Judging Teams and president of the Block & Bridle Club. Mr. Lambert attended Missouri Auction School in 1986 and was the 1989 Texas State Champion Auctioneer. In 2006, Mr. Lambert and ringman, Cody Long, teamed up to win the team championship of the World Auto Auction Competition. He is a member of both the National Auctioneers Association and the Texas Auctioneers Association. Prior to starting his own auction company, he was involved in several facets of the livestock industry including a cow/calf operation, a stocker operation and a feed lot operation. Today, in addition to selling several purebred sales, Mr. Lambert is also an auctioneer at numerous auto auctions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He also works with several charities including Make-A-Wish, Big Brother/Big Sister, Juvenile Diabetes, The Epilepsy Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.

Troy Lippard, CAI

Enid, Oklahoma

Troy D. Lippard, CAI, President of United Country Lippard Auctioneers, Inc., is a 1988 graduate of Missouri Auction School. Mr. Lippard received his CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) designation in 1994 and is currently working toward his AARE designation in real estate auctions. Licensed to conduct auctions in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, and New York, he holds a real estate brokers license in Oklahoma and Kansas. Mr. Lippard is a Member of the National Auctioneers Association, Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association and the Canadian Auctioneers Association. With a Master Farm & Land Appraisers designation from Lincoln Appraisal School, he also is a 1992 graduate of the Thompson Advertising School in Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Lippard has held the positions of Board of Director, President and Chairman of the Board of the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association and Board of Director of the American Businessman Club, Enid, Oklahoma. He is the 1999 Oklahoma State Champion Auctioneer, a five time finalist in the International Auctioneers Championship Contest and a three time finalist in the All World Auctioneers Championship Contest held in Canada. Mr. Lippard started in the auction business from the ground floor working as a clerk, cashier, ring-person, bid-caller and finally in the management end as owner of his own company. He is also an associate with Great Southwest Auction Company in Houston, Texas selling millions of dollars a year in oil and gas minerals. Mr. Lippard also works as a contract auctioneer across the United States for other auction companies selling aircraft, real estate and equipment.

Michael L. Rogers, CAI, AARE

Pittsboro, North Carolina

Mr. Rogers, a 1993 Graduate of the Texas Auction Academy, has been very successful as an auctioneer since returning from auction school. Graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in business management, Mr. Rogers is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina. A Graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute, he also holds the prestigious AARE (Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate) designation. Mr. Rogers owns and operates United Country Rogers Auctioneers, Inc. and is Co-Owner of Maple Ridge Farms. After an outstanding career as a popular high school teacher and DECA sponsor, where his students regularly received national notoriety competing and traveling across the country, Mr. Rogers turned his attention full time to his auctioneering career. In 2000, he was recognized as Chatham County Citizen of the Year. Mr. Rogers has conducted all types of auctions and is a real estate broker. In the mid nineties he founded and continues to conduct an annual consignment auction of collectible farm tractors, implements, and steam driven engines in Denton, North Carolina. Considered an expert in the area of marketing and advertising, his company concentrates on real estate, estate auctions and consignment sales.

Gary Ryther, CAI

Lawson, Missouri

Auctioneer for over 40 years. A past president of his state association, Mr. Ryther is president of Gary Ryther Auctioneers, Inc. that conducts all types of personal property, antique and real estate auctions in the mid-west.  In addition,  Mr. Ryther has conducted hundreds of industrial and metal fabrication plant auctions throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

Ryther is a licensed auctioneer in fifteen states and a real estate broker.  A graduate of auction school, Mr. Ryther is a graduate and former instructor at the Auction Marketing Institute.

Ryther is a renowned auction school instructor since 1974 and has taught thousands of students across the United States. Mr. Ryther, a Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame Member, will help you establish your basic chant.  You are in for a treat!

W. Scott Swenson, CAI, GPPA

Austin, Texas

Auctioneer since 1983, Mr. Swenson is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Britten Auction Academy in Bryan, Texas. He is a member and past Director of the National Auctioneers and a past Officer and Director of the Texas Auctioneers Association. The 1992 Texas State Champion Auctioneer is a four-time finalist in the International Auctioneers Championship. He received his CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) designation in 1993. Swenson is President of United Country Jones Swenson Auction Marketing and previously owned and operated Swenson Auctioneers. A real estate broker and personal property appraiser, he is licensed in eleven states. Swenson is approved to conduct auctions for the US Bankruptcy Court. His company specializes in the sale of real estate, businesses, industrial assets and nationwide fund-raising. Mr. Swenson’s areas of expertise include bid calling, auction preparation, organization and managing an auction business.

Mr. Brad H. Wooley is President of United Country Brad Wooley Auctioneers, a second generation Auctioneer with more than 23 years of auction experience on the local, regional and national levels. He assumed the reigns of Wooley Auctioneers from his father, NAA Hall of Fame Auctioneer, Mr. B.L. Wooley, who started the company over 49 years ago. He is Past President of the Arkansas Auctioneers Association, a past Director and Member of the National Auctioneers Association, Vice President of the National Auctioneers Licensing Law Official Association, and is currently Chairman of the Arkansas Auctioneers Licensing Board. Wooley received his Certified Auctioneers Institute designation at Indiana University in 1987 and his real estate broker's license in l982. Mr. Wooley will bring his lifetime knowledge of the auction profession to the classroom teaching students about conducting business liquidations and government auctions as well as his expertise in assisting students with their breathing techniques. With his extensive background in the area of auction laws and rules, he will discuss the importance of ethical behavior and how to operate your auction company more professionally.
